World of Tanks: Chinese clone game creators accused of plagiarism
Wargaming studio was forced to turn to the court for a number of companies for copyright infringement. It turns out that Changyou.com and Beijing Gamease Age Digital Technology Co., Ltd. developed and published a shooter called Ground War: Tanks (it is also known as Project Tank or Tank Grounds War). According to the plaintiff, the game is copied some elements of World of Tanks, including the interface, the principles of gameplay, model tank technology, dialogues, as well as texture.
Moreover, the Chinese moved his toy even those of historical inaccuracies that Wargaming deliberately allowed in the name of simplification rendering, together with technology that exists only in the form of real prototypes. Developers, on top of that, also accused of unlawful use of a proprietary search technology opponents. But the creators of Ground War: Tanks do not agree with the claims. They believe in their face Wargaming way wants to get rid of a potential rival. According to the authors of the Chinese clone of World of Tanks, the game is very different and their creation does not positioned as the enemy WoT.
